Laws for Paws and Hope for Hooves

Colorado Voters for Animals and Colorado Animal Protectors are holding their third annual Laws for Paws Fundraiser and Awards Ceremony. This year the group is honoring Sen. Jessie Daniel, Sen. Tammy Story, Rep. Julie McCluskie and Rep. Perry Will for their work in passing a legislation to establish more safe wildlife crossing corridors. The event features libations, a sit-down dinner, and silent and live auction. All money raised by Colorado Voters for Animals will go towards legislation being introduced in 2023 that would make it illegal to buy or sell a horse in Colorado if either the buyer or seller knew, or reasonably should have known that the purpose of the transaction was the slaughter of the horse for human consumption.
