Comments: Horse is from Texas, being treated in Oklahoma, and has been diagnosed with EHM. Horse attended the WPRA in Waco and the BFA in Guthrie. Horse was displaying mild neurological signs when owner returned form the BFA and owner took the horse immediately to an Oklahoma Veterinary Clinic for treatment. Horse was only at Texas premises for a few hours when it came back from the BFA before returning to Oklahoma.;

McClain County, OK – Equine Herpesvirus- Respiratory

Comments: Horse attended the WPRA in Waco. Horse had a fever on 11/13/25 or 11/14/25 with no other clinical symptoms. Sample was obtained on 11/19/2025 and results were reported on 11/25/2025. Only nasal swabs were positive for EHV-1 neuropath and non-neuropath. No other clinical signs reported since the fever.;

Comments: Horse exhibited at the Lazy E Saturday Nov. 15th but did not attend the WPRA. Clinical signs are fever and neurological. DVM has diagnosed it as EHM.;

Comments: Horse was retested and did test negative for EHV-1 (nasal and blood). Original test was thought to be a weak positive. Horse was euthanized due to worsening chronic urinary tract issues.;
