Shilo Cavalcanti DVM Brings Small-Business Feel and High-Quality Care to Her Veterinary Practice
How and when did you begin your veterinary practice?
I started practicing equine veterinary medicine in the Colorado Springs area in 2017. In 2024, I opened my solo equine ambulatory veterinary practice and am available for general practice and emergency care in Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas.
What is your mission in the horse industry?
I aim to provide high-quality, professional care for every equine patient I am privileged to care for. I’m also transparent and respectful in all communications with clients and absolutely love building strong relationships with clients.
Describe what sets you apart from the competition?
I believe that all veterinarians aim to do their best with each patient they see. I also believe there are enough horses in this area that veterinary professionals can have their businesses without having to poach other veterinarian clients intentionally. That being said, not every professional relationship works out; not every vet is right for every client, not every client is right for every horse (just like any other industry!). So, I am available whether you are a new horse owner, have been in the industry for your whole life, or are just looking for a change!
What can clients or members expect to gain from your product or membership?
Clients can expect to have a small-business-owned feel and high-quality professional and transparent veterinary care for their horses.
