“I’ve had a long-term interest in integrative medicine. After years of treating equine lameness and general health cases, I am excited to incorporate this avenue of evaluation and treatment for my patients,” explained Dr. Fehr.

Dr. Fehr received certification in veterinary chiropractic at Options for Animals in 2014 and will receive her veterinary acupuncture certification this March.

“Integrative veterinary medicine combines the best of conventional medicine and complementary and alternative therapies. It can be used to treat and/or support everything from orthopedic conditions to dermatologic disorders. We are delighted that Dr. Fehr has joined our integrative medicine team,” said Stephanie Meyer, DVM, CVA, who leads the department.

Originally from England, Dr. Fehr is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at the Young-Crawford Clinic in Alberta, Canada, followed by a surgical residency at Colorado State University. After becoming a board-certified large-animal surgeon, Dr. Fehr stayed on at CSU for another year as an emergency clinician before going into private practice in Alberta and then moving on to PVH.
