Ken McNabb

Greybull, Wyoming- Ken McNabb, known for his true American spirit, is excited for his upcoming 2016 Certification Program in July. Ken was raised in a traditional ranching environment in the mountains of Wyoming, where he still resides today with his family. The McNabb Horsemanship legacy is not only being passed down through Ken’s sons, Kurt and Trent, but now to others through the Certification Program. Ken creates a unique environment where each horse is trained using gentle methods and the rider is coached to become their personal best.

There are 3 levels in the Ken McNabb horse training certification program: Apprentice, Journeyman and Master Trainer. Throughout the Apprentice program, participants will work 15 days with 3 different horses ranging in training levels from well started to well broke. This is the oldest, in-house 3-week apprenticeship program in the country. The next step in the process is the Journeyman program where participants will spend 15 days becoming closer to the finished trainer. And the final step is to become the Master Trainer. The Master Certification Program may be completed within a maximum time of two years from the date of the Journeyman test. This program teaches a level of horsemanship that would normally take a lifetime to learn and opens the door to new adventures in horsemanship. In order to complete the full program, one must participate in all three levels of training. Participants may bring their own horses or use Ken McNabb provided horses without an additional charge. This program also includes hours of beautiful riding on the ranch in both the trail and ranch settings.

This elite program will be offered July 11-29, 2016 at the McFadden Ranch in Greybull, Wyoming. Participant’s board for the duration of the stay is at the Greybull Historical Hotel, including lunch 5 days a week with Ken, all included in the program.
